  • we only respond to written request and provide start date, end date, position title. Pay if its for a financial institution.
  • we have several positions here that work 32 and get paid for forty. No overtime unless they go over 40 and if they don't work the full 32 they only get paid for actual time worked. Vacation and sick leave are tied to hours worked.
  • my understanding is that as soon as the exempt employee works hourly then all hours worked would be considered on an hourly basis for determining any overtime owed. Got this from a DOL investigator at a conference a few weeks back.
  • My understanding of this is: If a salaried exempt employee is paid for any work on an hourly basis then all work done is considered on the hourly basis.
  • We have two each month. One exempt and one non-exempt. Nominations come from other staff and supervisors.
  • Just a tip: If you get a "rap sheet" as we do keep in mind that the police enter the arrest charge and the conviction data is entered after court. More often than not, especially in Mississippi, the conviction data somehow never gets to the data ba…

  • We pay a quarterly perfect attendance and an annual perfect attendance. Pay starts at $50.00 per ee and goes up to $120.00 per quarter. The more people with perfect attendance the more the pay out. Draw one name annually for an additional $2500.00 f…
  • I would not force anyone back to work against a physicians orders. Even if the MD has excused him from work he still has exhausted all allowable PTO and should still be in disciplinary peril for excessive use of PTO depending on what your policy is.…
  • I don't put anything in the offer letter concerning benefits. Not much more than at will status, conditional offer and starting pay rate. Everything else I discuss in orientation unless its asked for during the interview process.
