Sorry Ray, woodwinds take both hands to play. I would think a trombonist would be better suited to handle the pits. Think about it, one arm bent, close to the body, the other arm extended....

Sorry, I play a bass trombone. I really have to be coordinated. A slide and 2 valves. Both of my hands are occupied.

I haven't finished reading this thread yet, but I just had to say ritaanz is my new favorite Forumite.

My assistant took all my calls, so I only had 4 voice mail messages waiting for me, but there was plenty of other stuff. Much as I WANTED to hit the Forum first, I just couldn't.
