Chicken nuggets dipped in chocolate pudding????? I think I did that when I was a kid, it was really good then. Not so good now. Banana pudding.......soooo good!!!!! When is lunch?
I am looking forward to lunch as I hope to have lunch downtown with my youngest son today, he is 15. My young bride is out running around with the boys this morning trying to get social security cards for them and then she and the oldest boy will be off to the Super Wal-Mart to stock up on groceries before this next round of ice and snow hits our area. Kansas City is already reporting several patches of ice and conditions are only going down hill. Sure wish I had ordered more wood as I was instructed to do a couple weeks back when we were having well above average temperatures.
Dutch, we are getting ready for the ice man comin' too. All is well here right now but the cold front is expected before noon and then the freezing rain this afternoon. We have all the bread, milk and firewood needed for the weekend and a good book! Biggest concern is the electricity. Everybody is gun shy on that since we've had MAJOR and lengthy power outages several times from the July and December storms. At least in the winter we can throw the freezer stuff outside! Our high temps for several days next week is 27!!! I know it could be Wisconsin but somebody please tell me why in the heck I left nice warm Texas!!! Or as Coffee would say HOT Texas!)
Wish you the best jitrbug. I am sure most of the St. Louis area is a bit nervous with the weather forecast. My assistant was leaving this morning for KC to visit family. They called her before she left and recommended that she stay home due to their weather. Hope you stay warm and your electricty stays on....
Ranch dressing??? Well here in NY, not that far from where Buffalo Hot Wings were invented, we dip our wings in bleu cheese. Vanilla pudding adds an interesting twist.
I spend 45 minutes alone with my car each morning and again each evening. Sometimes it's a better conversationalist than the radio. It just listens quietly, agreeing with everything I say. A nice change. x;-)
Weather - it is in the single digits here this morning with a wind chill of -12. We started getting sleet and ice on Friday and it kept going off and on) through Monday. We finally did get a little snow Monday afternoon. Thank goodness the power stayed on the entire time. About and hour south of here there are hundreds if not thousands with no electricity. Sounds like Oklahmoa got the worst of it and of course parts of St. Louis are once again with out power. There was an article in the local Sunday paper about how the residents complain when the utility company cuts back tree limbs during the Summer and Fall but in order to keep the power on this is a necessity.
We fortunately kept power as well but there were lots of folks within a mile of our house that didn't have power for a couple of days. I agree with you on trimming the trees...maybe this will make people realize you just can't have it both ways. I dreaming of a green summer, just like the ones I used to know!!
Hey Whirlygirl.... it's sunny and beautiful here in NY. Come on up! Actually, it snowed a little this morning but it melted when the sun came out. It's about 29 right now... that's what my car told me at lunch.
Does your car have a name? I heard something on the radio this morning that people name their cars. Betsy was the top name with Nelly right behind it. I bet ray's car has a name!! I haven't named my car but if I did I think it would be.......chocolate pudding. Sorry, I know we are changing the subject, but I just couldn't resist.

I believe my husband is making frozen chicken nuggets for dinner tonight. At least I don't have to do the cooking.

To move away from the pudding topic and continue the mushroom topic: last night's dinner was chicken with rice and, yes, mushrooms. No bleu cheese.
You know my life is dull when that's the best I can come up with to keep this thread rolling.
Somebody please give us something new to talk about.
Oooh - how about the weather? My car told me it was 27 this morning. Had to break out the gloves again.
