• I'm hearing 'Welcome to the Machine'. I've been a Floydian since the mid 70's. I used to write out Floyd lyrics to keep myself awake in accounting class in college. xI-)

• I agree with Ray.
• There is a quarry near here that has Dozer Days every year. They get out their huge machines and big and little kids can go check them out. Toss in some hot dog and ice cream stands and you have a nifty saturday excursion with the kids.
• Kazoo stripper music sounds fascinating! Can we get audio on this Forum???

• Definitely the grace of God, to give her what she needed most from him - one last loving look back from him.
• I cried when Nancy touched her cheek to the coffin and when she patted it last night. Such tender and loving gestures. I'm sure she did those things hundreds of times while she was tending to him through his illness.
• Hunter, shhhhhh! Retirement for my husband and me will be a cottage near Green Lake and it can't come soon enough. We may have to hide someplace quieter during the summer months, but when school is in session it's a slice of heaven.
• I've got a 10 guage and if I ever get strong enough to lift the darn thing, my husband will show me how to shoot it! He's very brave.

• I think Alicia was the sole vote for Rupert. I think that's why she was so stunned - the Rob alliance told her it was Rupert and then took her out instead. Maybe it was coincidence that ShiiAnn voted with the rest, but maybe someone told her Alici…
• Thanks, mcmel. I was starting to think I might be wasting valuable work time reading the Survivor thread. x;-) I was rooting for ShiiAnn in the immunity challenge, even though I don't much care for her personality. It didn't bug me when she cel…
• Hey Leslie - can we invite Viggo on the H/R cruise with us? Can we, can we, pleeeease, huh?xpray x:9
• It's a good thing I stopped consuming beverages while in this area of the Forum. #18 would have had me snarfing tea all over my keyboard.

• "A Great View" "Hospitality Tent" "Beagle's Bugle" I'd prefer a daughter. I'm already outnumbered with a husband and a male dog.
• I'm 43, Beagle and just fine with that. In many ways, life didn't begin until 26 when the superficial started looking trivial and I realized that integrity is sexier than 6 pack abs.
• Curtains, Schmurtains! That new baby smell does not last long enough - go forth and cuddle.
• She works for your competition and asked for your handbook - that IS nervy. I would have gotten my sourpuss face out, too.

• That Jon makes me crazy with his smirk and his rhymes to vote people off. I really hope the girls band together and vote him off next. Then he'd be stuck living in juryland with an angry Rupert for the duration of the show. Take that, you weasel!…
• I think they have a list of 'twist' ideas and they pick the one to use based on the situation that has evolved with the tribes. So often the twist used has been brilliant in either evening up the tribes or shaking up people. The 3 member swap in A…
• I got to put a 'deer in the headlights' look on a chauvenist once - that was fun. I was not very long out of college at the time. We had hired a new sales rep who was greatly experienced (wanted to work another 5 years until retirement). I happen…
• Sitting on my pier with a book and a glass of wine. Waving at the Dads trolling by who are teaching their kids how to fish. Scowling at the Jet Skiers who ignore the middle of the lake and buzz the shoreline instead.
• Our basic policy is much like yours. We would have given him a short time frame (3-4 days) to get an initial assessment from a Substance Abuse Professional and the SAP would need to contact us with verification that this was done. To return to emp…
• Our credit card policy is: "[Company] will, at management’s discretion, issue a company credit card or travel advances to managers who will regularly incur customer entertainment or business travel expenses. Credit cards or advances are only to be …
• We do this as a component of our cafeteria plan. People who waive the health coverage get a specific dollar amount per week (weekly payroll) that they can defer to their 401k plan. Health waiver deferrals to the 401k are matched by the company the…
• If she's working from home, you'd have to pay her salary. What that does to the STD payment would depend on the language in your plan. Our STD is self-funded and it would cut out if the ee is earning wages from working. If FMLA is in the picture,…
• When we did our first open enrollment a few years ago, we had group meetings to explain the benefits and the new-to-them changes restrictions. We made them sign in when they went into the meeting so we could compare with our eligibles roster and ch…
• We have used The Flex Company (www.theflexcompany.com) for 2 years now. They helped us create our cafeteria plan from scratch - plan design options, creating forms, providing people for the meetings to explain the whole FSA concept, etc.…
• We are self funded and have 70% for 26 weeks. However, they have to go through the approval hoops with our LTD carrier. We pay them extra for that admin service, but it got us out of having everyone gone the full 26 weeks on STD. Having a medical…
• I'll ditto dura's ditto. Our 401k administrator takes account fees out of the participant's account balances. The company only pays fees for things that cover the whole plan, such as testing or 5500 prep.
• I'm no expert, but I think AJ is right that the 2 plans would need to be aggregated for testing purposes. If amending the plan is on the table, might there be a safe harbor provision that you could add?
