Seeking cover letter feedback from an HR professional

I am applying for jobs and use several cover letters. As an HR professional, please advice which cover letter is best, why, and please give feedback/suggestions. Thank you in advance.

1. Dear (Company) Hiring Manager:

I am writing to express my interest in the position of Marketing Director, advertised as being open at this time with your company. I am a highly talented and award-winning Management professional with an extensive background in Marketing, Sales, Business Development, Corporate Communications, and Client Relations. My experience includes product and project management, traditional marketing, e-commerce, and project implementation. Now I would like to bring my expertise and knowledge to work for your company. 

My skills in marketing and product management, together with my ability to meet deadlines and work as a team player, have contributed to my success in my chosen field.  I have performed a wide variety of activities, including management of marketing, public relations, and customer communications programs for non-profit organizations, market and research analysis, and established policies and procedures. I have a record of designing and leading effective team, and have been recognized throughout my career for my ability to increase revenue and profitability while decreasing costs.

  • There is no "best"...each cover letter should be tailored to the specific company and specific job posting. To have a standard cover letter is the worst thing you could do.

    Plus this sounds like a homework assignment seeing that all four cover letters are written for totally different jobs!
