Sorry Beagle; you've now taken a back seat to the visual of WOCO being 'set upon' by a herd of women in spandex! He hasn't posted his picture, but the image isn't a pretty one.
In my mind's eye, I see WOCO grinning like a fox in a hen house. I bet he's coming up with another "policy" just for a repeat performance. I think a new rest room policy/procedure will get the ball rolling again. x:P
I hate to seem dated, but I wear a coat and tie to work every day. Any shirt is OK as long as it is a white dress shirt. My male employees sometimes get a little sloppy but they are never the problem of the females. Most employers are so tired of fighting with the women that as long as navels are not in plain sight and bending over can be accomplished without revealing extreme cleavage at one end or panties (you hope) at the other, the employer calls it good enough. It is not really sexist, they just wore us down.
I have been having this very discussion with our Sr. Mgmt. group for a couple of years now and I get no where. Our male employees are required to wear dress shirts and ties and as mentioned by others we have allowed the ladies to push their version of the same "professional dress code" lower/more casual each year. I have finally accepted the fact that "this is not a hill that I am willing to die on!" There are already enough alligators in the swamp that are hampering drainage of same, without adding more that you can't do anything about. It is more and more difficult every year to preach preventative measures to our Supervisor team. Seems they are very happy to just ignore the problems and hope and pray that they either just go away or fix themselves. A small problem will not be addressed. We must wait until it is a big problem and then HR will have to fix it for us. Thank goodness I am looking at a 3 day weekend. Ya gotta love this bank holidays. I am ready!!! My youngest turned 2 on Don D's and Shadowfax's birthday. He loves to sing and spent much of the day singing his version of the birthday song; "Happy Day, Happy Day, Happy Day, Happy Day". If I could record it and attach to a post for your listening pleasure, I sure would!
