In the hospital the relatives gathered in the waiting room, where a family member lay gravely ill. Finally, the doctor came in looking tired and somber.
"I'm afraid I'm the bearer of bad news," he saidas he surveyed the worried faces. "The only hope left for your loved one at this time is a brain transplant. It's an experimental procedure, very risky, but it is the only hope. Insurance will cover the procedure, but you will have to pay for the BRAIN."
The family members sat silent as they absorbed the news. After a time, someone asked, "How much will a brain cost?"
The doctor quickly responded, "$5,000 for a male brain; $200 for a female brain."
The moment turned awkward. Some of the men actually had to 'try' to not smile, avoiding eye contact with the women. A man unable to control his curiosity, finally blurted out the question everyone wanted to ask, "Why is the male brain so much more than a female brain?"
The doctor smiled at the childish innocence and explained to the entire group, "It's just standard pricing procedure. We have to price the female brains a lot lower because they've been used."

I have no intention of getting into a pissing contest with ya. But I suggest that before you criticize someone, you should walk a mile in their shoes. That way when you do criticize them, you are a mile away from them and you have their shoes.
Not original but thought it would fit the occassion.
Stop picking at each other or I will send you to your rooms. (As if you would actually listen to me. I'll have to find a better threat....)
I hate it when you guys get to picking at each other. It's fine when it's good natured, but this one seems to have moved to the spiteful side.
Love that song, Joannie. I may just start gettin' down, right here and now!
Six lines of nothingness; kind of confirms the initial post doesn't it.
Now I've been happy lately,
thinking about the good things to come
And I believe it could be,
something good has begun
Oh I've been smiling lately,
dreaming about the world as one
And I believe it could be,
some day it's going to come
FWIW, Ray, I shaved my head for several years. I stopped when my kids told me their friends were afraid of me because I looked mean bald.
A bald head might have been better than a few hairstyles I had as a teen. Remember, my entire teenage "career" occurred in the 80's. x:-8 I should own stock in Aqua Net.
Now that brings back memories. I had my share of 80s hair styles tgrowing up in Southern California that required the structural support of large quantities of hairspray. Of course, global warming was just a glimmer in Al Gore's eye back then as he was busy inventing the internet. The only downside at that time to aerosol hairspray was catching on fire or the inevitable "crunchy hair" syndrome.
Hey Ray, has it caught your attention that the title of this thread can have several different meanings depending on where you place the inflection?
