Q is approaching 2500 posts and Paul is approaching 3000. We should throw a party for them. Interestingly I think both have been here longer than I have, at least Paul has.

Looking in the archives, it looks like Q joined shortly after I did, the earliest post of hers I found was in June of 2003.
The MD certainly helps.
Does this count as a hand raised?
I had completely forgotten how er...someone got all bent out of shape about the confederate flag and what it means. You're right. It was huge.
"Um, there is like this sitchooation where one of our employees is like barely late just once in awhile and for usually relly good reesons. But the boss is really rude and says that "all employees must be on time or else!"
That's illegal, right? Can the employee sue or something? Thanks!"
Of course we were always very eager to provide them some direction.
After M Lee Smith decided only subscribers could participate many frequent posters were forced out. Unfortunately, about that same time some of the posters' tone began to change and this forum was an unpleasant place to come for awhile. I only dropped by when I was desperate for some help for a long time. Then one day I heard that Don had been asked to leave the forum and many had left with him in protest. It is not nearly as busy, and certainly more people add more interest. But I am glad to come to a place where I feel comfortable and not worried that if I ask a question I will be told I am stupid for asking. Also, more and more people are joining again and it is gradually becoming more and more lively and interesting.
Just my 2 cents.
This was the first (I believe) time Don went after me. I can't believe how much better I wrote then!
The confederate flag is a hot topic with me, as you could tell if you read through my posts.
Man I'm glad times have changed!

Either that or it is just that we are more boring. x:D
I met NaeNae this week!!! We were both at a SHRM Legislative Conference at our state captiol (Topeka, so you don't have to check the map). Just as on the forum, Nae is a classy intelligent person and it was great meeting someone from our blogging home.
She of course may now quit because of meeting me, but it was a positive experience for me!!

In case you all are wondering, Steaks was very professional and has a good reputation among other SHRM members. I can also tell you he is VERY tall! At least, from my 5'1" vantage point, he SEEMED very tall. So there you have it. He is tall in both stature and reputation.
BTW Steaks, I did the dome tour (all 296 steps) and came back ready to sit for awhile in the Senate chamber. Just about everyone had left though. It's amazing how many people have other urgent things to do when it comes to watching our politicians in action. I found I had something to do too. x;-)
