You may have willpower, but your aforementioned super powers suck since you confused Dutch & jitrbug with Allsteaks. You should publicly apologize to Steaks.
Well we were discussing Hillary's cleavage but that didn't seem to generate much interest; can't argue that!! Barack bin O'Bama: if he spelled it like this he could go after the Irish vote!!
No politician is perfect and he has done some questionable things, but he does have many ideas that resonate with me. The sad thing is there is much discussion on political blogs about whether or not he is qualified to run merely because he is a Mormon. A religious test.
The religion issue is hard to overcome because the media zoom in on every comment or situation that made be even slightly religious based. I think sometimes the press attempts to split the population by highlighting the items that cause rifts between different races, religions, etc.
Well, the newspapers, TV, etc, are all in business to make money. That is their primary goal. They sell a service and will provide whatever the customer wants.
Obviously what they think you want. Or more specifically, what they think will sell. But, here's an interesting thought, liberals now are trying to silence Fox News through boycotts. Regardless of your political persuasion, this should cause you to blink. Why would we want to stifle any legitimate news sourse? By doing this are we headed down a slippery slope? As a conservative, maybe I'll fight to shut down any news source I disagree with and think is too liberal. Where will this take us?
A congressman from NY is pushing a bill for fairness on the airwaves. He wants to mandate that liberals have equal time with the conservative AM radio yappers. Why aren't there more liberal AM radion yappers? Because no one listens to them.
Think there's any irony in the "Fairness Doctrine" legislation coming around after the failure and bankruptcy of Air America, the totally liberal radio network? To further Ray's point on selling us what we want, the most successful (by far) radio talkers are Conservatives; Bill O'Reilly is #1 on Cable News. He professes to not be a Conservative but he leans more right than left. So advertisers are going to sponsor shows that people listen to and watch! Fairly simple economics. If you watch the a news story on MSNBC, then the same story with supposedly the same information, on FOX News, the difference in political slant is remarkable!!
I am not so sure that their political persuasion has anything to do with it really. Isn't just a matter of how outrageous they can be?
Perhaps it is political in a 2nd hand kind of way. When a conservative talk show host hands out insults everyone listens and many scream. They get screamed at by liberals who believe they have to be there to watch the bad guys, and even some conservatives who think they have gone too far. When a liberal talk show host hands out insults no one gets upset. The liberals agree and the conservatives are not listening since they don't think the liberals have anything important to say anyway. x;-)
Hea Nae, your last line was the best! And I agree with your points. If the libs took the time to say something that was meaningful and truly good for the country, people would gladly listen. Unfortunately they waste their time pointing out the other side's mistakes or failures. But the worst is their commitment to defeat in Iraq. Reid and Pelosi should lose all credibility for their positions on the war. And it's all because they hate Pres. Bush! Wow, I've really gotten political here; sorry.
Finally, I have something to contribute to this thread.
Paul, you can sleep at night. The bees are in my back yard. I found them this morning, buzzing and swarming around the newly sprouted seedy things on my palm trees.
Maybe I can herd them into a pillow case and sell them for $5 a bag to the local farmers.
How can you tell honey from African? Do they look different?
If they don't leave by themselves pretty soon, do you know how to get rid of them? My only idea is to get out the garden hose, but they might get mad and come after me. Maybe there is some bee spray stuff at Home Depot.
Can you tell I don't do yard stuff very often?
Sorry for yet another hijack. We will return to our "Hillary's cleavage and other important political issues" convo shortly.

No.
We should ignore Hillary's cleavage. Just like her husband does.
Speaking of politics, watch out for Mitt Romney. He might suprise alot of people. Unlike some of the candidates, he has actually done things.
What's the big deal? Are you afraid that the morons will take over?

No bees. No food. No food. Everybody dies.
It doesn't really matter who is running for president unless they have a plan to bring back the @$@$#%@ bees.

However, think of the fun you could have if you managed to do it (honey, that is, not African)!
