~ All Star Survivor ~

LAST EDITED ON 01-30-04 AT 11:02AM (CST)[br][br]So, any thoughts on what the new twists will be this year? How will it work with 3 tribes, I wonder if it will be like the last time. Whoever loses, loses a tribe member?

Speculations on who you think will go first, who will win? Think they will get rid of the previous winners first? Who do you see as early alliances?

I personally think the Saboga team might be strong at first because they have two previous winners and they have Rupert. I think Chapera will have problems with all the young ones who can't band together. Mogo Mogo might do well because of the strength of Colby and Lex who have won a lot of individual challenges previously. I think now it will be a whole different ball game and that those who once were voted out early, may make it farther this time around.

I am not one for wishing a weekend away, but I can't wait til Sunday. I hope the superbowl ends quick!

• Do you think Colby and Tina will become alliances again? They would be silly to, in my opinion b/c everyone will watch for that and they both will be voted off! I still hope Ethan wins! I think he might be voted off quickly due to his 'niceness', or did he learn his lesson?
• That would have to wait for a merge since they are on seperate teams. I don't think Tina will last that long. I am actually wondering if the "weaker" folks will vote off the stronger ones quickly.
• I think Clay's going to win - he's got that weird haircut... oh... wait.... wrong reality show. x;-)
• I am a recovering survivor addict and cannot play along. I refuse to be curious about all of these alliances. The siren song of the three tribes is not going to get into my head and rule one evening a week of my life.

Oh heck, who am I kidding?
• Colby and Lex could be a really tough team to beat. Together they have won a ton of immunity challenges.

There are just so many great story lines here and interesting aspects to watch. Its going to be a fun couple of months.

• OK.. so my first question is Why in the world did Rupert and Rudy go along with getting rid of Tina instead of the bimbos. Jenna did nothing in the challenge except keep falling onto the raft they were moving (she sat on it when it was in the water and they were bringing it to shore uggh)...
I dont get this....
I love the Rudy/Rupert alliance.. very wise... as long as people dont catch on...
Richard is going to shoot himself in the foot. Why not just start the fire and be a hero for his tribe?
this is going to be a great season...
• I agree Leslie, why would Rupert go with Tina. At this point, she seemed a lot less threatening (or trouble making) and what about that challenge. I was also wondering why Jenna was riding instead of swimming and pushing. I didn't like Jenna's comments that no matter what, if it came down to a previous winner and another, she would not vote for the previous winner. I think that kind of ruins the game right there, all that went before should be forgotten (as much as you could) and play based upon what people are doing now.

Oh well, can't wait for Thursday!
• I think Rupert & Rudy went along with axing Tina because the argument that "they've already won" is stronger than "everyone should get a chance." That being said though - I think in that tribe it will be Rupert, Rudy and Jerri remaining.

Richard Hatch! The man we love to hate. I think his days are numbered & I don't see him lasting long at all. I think Lex and Colby will go the farthest - such a team!

I was initially reluctant to watch an 'all-star' game, but, who was I kidding - I'm in it to watch it! x:-)
• Lex and Colby could be great, and rather unstoppable. COlby will be bummed to see Tina voted off so quick. And he does have the advanatage of not having won.

I still miss Savage. Why couldnt they have gotten him on the ALLSTARS. sigh.... :(

• I was thinking the same thing! Also, I was hoping for them to bring back Hunter! sigh..
• which was Hunter? Was he the rocket scientist? I really liked the Rocket Scientist..
• Hunter was former military - he was on the same original tribe as Rob. He is/was a pilot - he has a military show on one of the cable channels now. He's dreamy!
• ohh now I remember..yes... they were fools to get rid of him so soon, he was strong and great at challenges. ahhh wellll.... there's still Colby !
• I missed the first part of survivor. Just got home in time to see the end of the immunity challenge with the rafts.

How did they set up the tribes? And how did they get them to the sites?
• They are playing an "encore" showing on Tuesday.

I thought it was a little dramatic in the beginning, military escorts, very secretive. But I did like the idea that besides the 6 people in their own tribe, they had no clue who and how many others were coming back until they met up at the first challenge.

• Marc - I am not sure how the tribes were selected. It was all determined before the show. The survivors were dropped off in an over-the-top dramatic military boat thing. Jeff probst was trying his best to fall out of a helicopter at the time.

Im upset that Rupert made an alliance with Rudy. I like Rudy but he is a liability. Tina was way too strong and tough to be voted off this early. Jenna split the tribe with her petty worries about a repeat winner.

I don't understand these early alliances. Alliances are only a good thing if you are paired with someone who can help you. Boston Rob made an alliance with Amber because she is "beeyoodefull!" Come on, Rob, think!

Could Richard Hatch be the devil?

I'd watch for Jeff Probst to play a greater role this season. He has increasingly been more vocal each season. This time, he knows everybody and I wouldn't be surprised if he becomes a factor in the game.

• Speaking of Jeff Probst, the hottie that he is, I read somewhere after Colby's show that they hung around together afterwards and are good friends . . . I wonder if we'll pick up on that friendship at all.

Also, I heard that there is a relationship in this Survivor, somewhere along the lines. I wonder who that will be. (I know Richard Hatch called Colby "hon" or something sweet last night). Ugh. Please VOTE him off!

I loved the helicopter scene, with Jeff Probst clinging to it at the beginning; did I mention that he's a hottie?
• Rob was thinking, just with the wrong body part :)
• All right, Tuesday encore. Then the regular Thursday night shows. I've got my schedule out and am locked in.
• mcmel - to be honest - Jeff P did look really good & the helicopter opening was pretty exciting! You know, it is iteresting that Jeri has to hang around Jeff P - he was pretty nasty about her in interviews after Survivor Australia was over...maybe it was just love gone astray??
• I didn't hear about the nastiness between them. I better pay closer attention. I'll study Jeff as closely as I can in the future. x;)
• hmmm... now here's my ALL STAR DREAM Team:
Savage, Hunter, Dave (the rocket scientist), Colby, and JEFF! How cool would it be to see Jeff as a contestant !!??!!

• Well, I can't say I'm surprised that Tina was voted off, although I was rooting for Jenna to go. How nasty can one be? I am really surprised they didn't do better as a team. I thought with Rupert and Ethan and tough ole Jeri that they'd have a chance. I am surprised that the self-proclaimed "underdogs" were the first ones to win the immunity. Who knew that all those youngins could band together in a team?

Thursday should prove to be interesting.
• Helllloooo - is anybody out there?

I've been here since 3:30 this morning, and I still haven't seen any reactions to last night's Survivor episode! Is it just that there was no surprise that Rudy was voted off? (Frankly, I thought the guy was going to have a coronary after the reward challenge!) I was certainly proud of Rupert for honoring his word and not voting for Rudy.

By the way - to those of you who have commented on Jeff Probst's yumminess, my sources tell me that he's not inclined to be attracted to individuals of the female persuasion.

• well, I was not surprised that Rudy was voted off, but it was sad to see the ol' guy go..It was interesting that girls split their votes, they are clearly not as tight as it seemed. NOW I want to see an alliance of Rupert and Ethan.. they'd be unstoppable, and I love them both.

oh.. say it aint so about Jeff P.... He gets better lookin' with every season...

Can we please get rid of Jenna L next on that team... she is so bossy and domineering.. yech...

• The girls didn't split their votes. Rudy and Rupert voted Ethan, the other 3 voted for Rudy. Good for Rupert for sticking to his guns and not writing down Rudy's name. It was sad to see him go before Jenna, but he was a liability. I am glad that they didn't get rid of Ethan because they need his strength right about now. Did anyone catch Rudy's closing comments about "those other two" and how "they better watch out because he knows people". Go Rudy!

I hadn't heard anything about Jeff batting for the other team, but didn't someone say that something like that would be revealed this Survivor?

It sure will be interesting to find out what this week brings. They are showing previews of a fight between Jeri and Rupert. I think they need to get their act together, they were a stronger team until they fell apart. Please don't bring back any others (especially not whiny Jon!). Okay maybe yummy Andrew and his Armani suit. x:D
• Take it back, take it back. Jeff P? I heard he was divorced after one of the Survivor seasons. I hope your sources are wrong! x:(
• I guess I am not surprised that they got rid of Rudy, but I think I would have gone for Jenna. She failed in the first challenge and was swallowing water in the second immunity challege. I don't think she has performed much at all. She didn't help much on getting that boat uprighted. It was a bad decision to just bail, especially when they saw the other teams lifting the boats out.

I still think Rudy cold have been a good help out later and it was too soon to get rid of him. Ethan too, even though he was a winner before, he is too strong to get rid of now. They need him to try to keep winning challenges.
• When do you think they'll start combining or mixing up the tribes? With Sabago down to 4, they could start next week? What about bringing back those voted off this time, think that'll happen?

hmmm.. and COULD they have some other previous survivors 'in the wings' ready to jump in? so much to think about....
• Well, awful Jon made some comment on the finale of the last Survivor series about the All-Star series - maybe he's coming back. Hope not - he's a lying weasel!
