We finally got some snow at our house. It was a horrible day. There must have been at least 1" on the driveway. It wasn't until 10:00 am before the sun melted all the snow. I almost broke out the snow shovel and the salt.x;-)
Not really, we did get a few inches and it is pretty cold for our part of the country. Not at all like the days in Colorado when I worked at a major ski resort. We loved snow days. While EEs in Denver could not get to work, they somehow made it up the mountain for a day on the slopes. Champagne powder, those were the days.
Marc, that reminds me of a time in college in western Ohio many years ago. Woke up to a snow storm, turned on the radio and they announced the public schools were closed due to 1" of snow and it was drifting. I about died laughing growing up in NY where 1" was nothing, we had had as much as 30"+ and schools were still open.
We got another few inches yesterday that turned to slush when it warmed up and started to rain. That was, of course, after it had turned to ice and I was pelted in the face with a horizontal ice storm...thats just another day in New England-snow, ice and rain in the same few hours.
Yes Rad, sometimes we don't realize how good we have it up here. Think of poor Don... he said Friday that he had to cut his grass over the weekend. That must be horrible this time of year. I feel so sorry for him.
