Thank you, David, for your very wise advice. Forgive my ignorance on the matter-- can allowances be tax free and issued by the company as an expense? Or, do allowances still go through payroll, taxable, etc?

I thought paid sick had to be allowed to care for a parent if the sick time was accrued. The private MN company says ee can't use his accrued sick time for parent because she is not ee's dependent.

I know what part D Medicare is, but I dont know what the notification is about. Please explain. We have an ee reaching age 65 this year. I thought they decided if they want to stay on our group plan or go w/ partB & partD themselves.

I would appreciate a sample policy on Social Networking; ie. FB, etc. If possible, we're thinking about tightening the grip but not necessarily blocking it. I know that many like to use it on their lunch break, etc. Any suggestions?
