Regarding Don's zapped comment, I found it interesting that the characterization of Cajun-Americans (is that PC enough?) he used is (or at least was) also the motto of the Louisiana National Guard - the "c***-**s militia." Back in the late 80s, Lou…

I knew I shouldn't have gone out of town. Everything happens when I'm gone. Well, at least they didn't bring the picture of the woman in the masthead back. Thank goodness for small favors. As one of the people who is undoubtedly an irritant from…

Now, now, Margaret. You know better than anyone else that unless it's based on a protected characteristic "appearance" is not a protected class! x;-)
-
Any relation to Binford Tools? Can I get the Toolman's autograph? x;-) Like you've never heard that one before, right?
-
No, no. You're not a "made" man. You have to get over 1000 posts to be a made man. Don's a made man almost four times over. He is, indeed, a "Don" x;-)

Quit it! You guys are giving me a headache! Ow!
-
Using that logic the criteria must have been "those who have picked on Parabeagle mercilessly and maliciously and without reason or provocation." x;-)
-
What membership criteria? I wasn't aware there was any.

>You could still get rid of the lady and the >yellow banner please, pretty please?. Just a >suggestion, no offense, really, that's all. But please, James, by all that is sacred do NOT replace her with a picture of Don D!!! For the real…

Nicole, if you keep using the blushing icon, you're going to wear it out! x:o

"cold" is a relative term, Nicole. I remember being down there in shirtsleeves complaining it was too warm and muggy while residents were wearing jackets!
-
Welcome to the club, Nicole. Great picture. Two questions: 1. Do you have a single sister? 2. Is she relocatable? (just kidding - no offense intended) x;-)
-
Whoa! What a rush! 70's flashback! Thanks, James. x;-)

There was a thread in here a long time ago that explained this phenomenon - James referred to it as giving all of us "mini-vacations" but short story is some software anomaly that they are dealing with.

Having the same problem Leslie (but not to the degree you seem to be). Means I'm wasting twice as much time as usual. Oh, my!

Sorry, Don - if that is indeed your REAL name - Have to bite my tongue to keep this torrent of wisecracks from escaping. But, in order to be helpful and to answer your question -- I ain't got the foggiest idea how to solve your predicament. On…

That's mean, Don.

Paul: I thought in Mississippi it was a "whuppin'" not a "whippin'" E

Christy, under "Special Forum Features," how about "Who is Don D and What Else Does He Do All Day?"
-
Hi, Barbie. You may want to check the Lobby under HR & Employment Law Questions, I believe I saw thread discussing your question just today. Welcome to the Forum and check your sanity at the door. x;-)

That's PARAbeagle, not DOUBLEbeagle.

I'm sure Watersflo understands, Don. After all, he's from Oregon and we tend to be a little sharper than the average bear.

And sometimes the flames don't necessarily relate to a hot topic, but really just signal a continuing string of nonsensical ravings of a bunch of people poking fun at each other and the human condition in general! Welcome to the asylum!

Not so sure that would help much. I know that when someone asks for advice regarding an issue that varies depending upon state law the first thing I want to find out is what state they're from so I can answer intelligently (or at least not look lik…

Christy, this is disturbing, to say the least. Although I would prefer to keep the forum as open as possible, it would be nice if there were some way to screen out the employees. To be able to freely exchange opinions, advice, etc. with other HR p…

Think I need a new name. Never been called Beagle before!

Does Don pay you a retainer to sing his praises all the time? ;-)

I guess I just always assumed (see what happens when you assume?) that those of us participating in the forum had all subscribed to our state's labor letter or purchased a product -- oops! I didn't realize that it was completely free. Although I l…

I consider myself a vegetarian, not a 'vegan.' I will not eat meat, fish or poultry, or eggs for that matter. I love my leather jackets and my leather shoes. Unfortunately, I'm also a lousy cook so I'm afraid I can't be much help here. x;-)

It's ok. I'm sure they don't inhale.
