Thanks a bunch!!

That sounds reasonable. I thought we "had to" have it.

We do post-offer, pre-employment testing, but are unfamiliar with WorkSteps.

Happy birthday Frank!

Happy birthday Paul!

We pay like your second example. Take 8 hrs from the sick leave bank and pay 42 hrs straight time. (Overtime is only paid for hours WORKED over 40).

You might find your answers here.... 29 CFR 825.308 - Under what circumstances may an employer request subsequent recertifications of medical conditions?

We had two types of postcards printed...one "thank you for applying...if selected for an interview you will be contacted...."; and the other is a "thank you for interviewing...after careful review, a decision has been made not to advance your applic…

I appreciate your responses. Good point re: setting precedence by calling him in. I'll check the CBA and policies to make sure no timeline is listed, then discuss it with him when he returns.

Is it okay to call them into the office for this?

We're wrapping this up today, but following up on Need Coffee's thoughts =D> I learned that none of the rural locations we travel to or through have a taxi service, overnight delivery service or collection site agreement w/ our lab. I have been …

Thanks for your response, Nae. Turns out I was mistaken on what the quiz said.... Actually, it said an ee can't take INTERMITTENT leave for a healthy child & mother, without the employer's express permission. That seems reasonable, eh?

Yep, if it were up to me to build our house, the roof would be no taller than what I could reach on my tip toes. SKIP THIS...I didn't see the other two pages of responses when I started to answer Paul, and I can't figure out how to delete it!

I owe my husband an apology. I thought HE was crazy! (Referring to the pix...not the ensuing dialogue).

Yes, I see that more and more in our area. Our personnel policy states that the employee is responsibility to provide us with the Health Care Provider's statement of serious health condition, but if we question its validity, we may require a seco…

I appreciate your response! Gives me some things to think about.

I feel your pain! That's really unusual for your area. We had a week of 111-113, but that's expected here. It just came a little early. P.S. Love your icon.

::pb&J::I'm good to go!! Thanks Celeste and Andrew and BethK!!!!!

I don't know about THE worst piece of legislation...compared, for instance, to the stimulus package and cap and trade.
-
I don't have any on the right either.

On MY summer vacation, I finished the brick walkway in front of our house...did I win??

Wow! Just clicked on the "God Hates Fred Phelps" website. Is he really Michael Phelps' father?
-
Welcome Library HR! You've received a lot of good comments already. Just wanted to chime in that we completed and classification and compensation study a couple of years ago and found we were drastically lower than comparable gov't agencies...even…

I track due dates for all our water rights, show proof of beneficial use and have maps drawn showing points of diversion, etc. I'm also responsible for Bids, RFPs and RFQs; from advertising to being on the selection committee.

We have used Service Agreements for various projects (not construction-related). I'd be happy to share a sample with you...just need an email address.
-
Did you get all the response you need, or do you still need policies?
-
Has she met the eligibility requirements?
-
Welcome back!

I agree with the other Posters. Based on this alone, if I were an employee I would question management's integrity...that there would be partiality and an unwillingness to be accountable for their actions.

I contacted customer service, who put me in contact with the IT dept. Here are the instructions I received: With the updated forum, you will need to log in and select which forums you want to receive notification e-mails from. When you log in, se…
