It's addicting isn't it? but fun entertainment. yes, her team mates seemed to place a big emphasis on Michelle faking the other team out, and she didnt go along with it.. always a big mistake.
-
yes, great moves on both Rupert's part and Andrew's. Dont quite get why they voted off Michelle. There isnt a human being on the planet more annoying or a tribe member more usless than Jon (he couldnt steer the boat, didnt his team notice this?) yet…
-
yes, should be good tonight. I suspect the producers DO have a few tricks: Let Rupert decide for himself whether to go back or stay? Let the Morgans trade away some one to keep Rupert? will be interesting.... talk to you all tomorrow..
-
Very good point about keeping her because she wouldnt betray an alliance, I hadnt thought of that. You are right there doesnt seem to be any strategy in the tribe, they are constantly flying by the seat of their pants, which is how they went on thei…

Yes, cutting Lil loose was a good idea, she wasnt a positive influence. What do you all think of the possibility of Drake "throwing" the immunity challenge next week just so that they can vote Jon off? Doesnt sound like a good move to me, it could…

this IS a great survivor so far, perhaps my favorite (though the first was great just for it's originality factor alone). I agree, the pirating is a great twist. I am becoming a Drake fan, they just get along with each other and cooperate and DONT W…

I went to high school (amybe it was Jr Hi ?) with a girl named Terri Ferry, also. Can there be 2 of them? It was on Long Island, NY.

hi Deez, I love my Ford Windstar. I've had it for almost 2 years. It's a great car. And... when I am finally done driving mini-vans full of kids and sports equipment around I will trade it in for a Ford Mustang. This is the first Ford I've owned (I'…

Annie:wow! My brother's first car was about a '65 Nova -- baby blue with a striped grill. Very "greaser". Cant remember if he named it or not. we called my last minivan the "mommy-van"... I told the kids my next car will be mustang convertible! ~L…

Yes, I started naming my cars in college. My roommate's boy friend had a '58 Buick named "Bev" -- that was the start of the tradition. He was southern, none of my northern friends named their cars. My first car was a Datsun 510 named "Baby" (loved t…

AnneLa: the prince in Cinderella was Stuart Damon who has now played Dr. Alan Quartermaine on GH for YEARS.........

"Top Cat.. dee dee dee du deeeee Top Cat... dee dee dee du deee..." well payback is sweet, now I have the tune stuck in the head too, but no words... happy humming.....
-
For cartoons I loved "Top Cat"... He lived in an alley with a bunch of street cats. Kindof a cartoon cat version of the "Bowery Boys". does anyone else remember Top Cat, or am I light years older than all you guys?
-
yep, first time here (it's a slow friday in HR here in NJ). I LOVED Jacques Cousteau... for a while I wanted to be a marine biologist (until I figured out that meant swimming in really cold water in the middle of the ocean). I think Diver Dan was a…

Does anyone remember "Diver Dan" ? He lived under the sea and wore one of those old fashioned (not at the time) diver suits with the big metal headpiece. He talked to the fish, who talked back to him. Also: Dark Shadows!!I used to stop at my friend…

we usually give Christmas Day and New Years Day (neither of the "Eve's".) This year we will give Christmas Eve and New Year's Eve instead. I think some companies that usually give Christmas Eve off, are giving employees a "floating Holiday"

thank you both. This is very helpful. We will extend her leave, with no guarantee of a position when she is able to return, but at least we'll be able to keep helping to pay her benefits. again, thanks for the input
-
thank you, this helps. EE has not requested reduced hours. She just keeps calling in sick about once a week (our policy does not require a DR note for a 1 day absence, no matter how many you take). Manager and I are preparing to talk to her and want …

Popeye, you've been very helpful, thanks so much.
-
thank you! Where can I find a copy of "Physician's Certification form" Is this a standard form, or do I make one up?
-
No conflict. He was hired to be our staff accountant. There are specific job tasks that are part of that position. Although these tasks are bigger now that we are owned by a parent company they still fall into his job description.

thanks Shadowfax and Balloonman, this is exactly what my gut (and experience) were telling me, just wanted to make suere I wasnt missing something. This is the part of HR that just aint fun....
-
He does not come in early or work late. He is a "9-5" person and we cant function that way. We are a small company, he is in a small department, we do not have a different job to give him. He was hired to do a job and he's not doing it.
-
hello all, thanks for the input. Let me clarify a bit: this is a full time exempt employee (Accountant). Everyone in his department works well over 40 hours/week. He was told at hire that this is the case. The expectations we have for him are not un…
-
hi Cheryl, no he asked us to give some of the work load he already has to someone else. He wants us to lighten his current load, as we're asking him to take on a heavier one.
-
this is exactly the situation. People submit resumes, then want to know why I havent selected them for an interview. I could spend 60 hours/week responding to this stuff (and as others have said here, in endless debates). If someone just follows up …
-
hiring an assistant is definitely not an option. WHen he was hired it was made clear this is not a 9-5 job. It is not all year round that we have this much work, but right now we do. Everyone else in the dept stays after 5 (and/or comes in early) an…
-
yes, we can do this (make him non-exempt), but it doesnt solve the problem, which is his work isnt getting done. We NEED him working 50 hours/week or so..he is in a small dept., he is our only staff accountant, work is not getting finished. very fru…
-
thanks, I will follow up with the FMLA and definitely suggest he work fewer hours but more days. I think he'll end up giving me a doctor's note that says he cant work more than 5 days also, because he told me that his doctor "told him" that when he …
-
Don, I like the FMLA idea, but not sure how to go about it. If he is working an 8 hour day, what amount of 'intermittent' leave do I assign to him? Can I just calculate that it would take 9 or 10 work hours a day to finish his work, and 'charge' him a…
