  • This DOES sound good! Although a little complex for my culinary skills, but think I'll have to give it a try next time my "faux granddaughter" (she's my daughters boyfriend's daughter)comes over. Parabeagle, my mom always put paprika on mashed pot…
  • LOL he eats chicken just didn't know what a hen was. He doesn't like seafood though and that DOES have me concerned!
  • I made this for Christmas for my daughter and her boyfriend. It was a huge hit! The hens were so moist and flavorful and although Joe was reluctant to eat a hen I do believe he is now a convert. ?Thank you for the recipe.
  • This sounds really good! and something that I could use just 1/2 the recipe since I just cook for 1 (poor me...ha) Thanks for sharing.
  • This sounds really good (minus the 'wheat germ' too healthy for me). Whats the difference between a sweet potato and a yam? and yes they come in cans, until recently I didn't know they came any other way...I'm sticking with the canned ones..let so…
  • Dang...I didn't know people still did "Easter Dinner". Wish someone would invite me I'm getting hungry.
  • One of my favorites too I skip the cheese and add fried green bell peppers.
  • This was a huge hit at my turkey day dinner, thanks! I left off the pecans and it was still awesome but no leftovers...boo hoo.
  • Sounds awesome and certainly fun to read, but can you stuff the bird? My favorite part of turkey day is the stuffing/dressing that is made inside the bird.
  • Sounds like you need to serve with your local cardiologist on the side or at least pepto.
  • WHat a beautiful story! I have chills also.
  • Congratulations! she is adorable!! My daughter gave birth tomy first grandchild in January, a boy whom I adore; however, I've already requested a granddaughter from her!
  • I hope it's him as well but it doesn't sound right to me, and his ex wife says he was with her in Georgia at the time of the killing.

  • Funny! I can so relate! I walk into the kitchen and forget why....
  • It has been pretty much of a dry heat this summer early morning humidity is about 50% and then it goes down. I do tolerate the dry heat better than the humidity but either way it sucks! Last night on the 10:00 news they said it was still 92 f***n …
  • Defroster?!?!?! what's that? I keep telling myself "just deal with it" but I literally get nauseated every day when I walk outside in this heat! Nearly passed out when I got my $398.67 electric bill 2 days ago as well! My house is only 1800 sq ft …
  • >After growing up in TX I am still cautious when >I get in the car expecting to fry my hands first >on the door latch and then on the steering >wheel! Some memories just never leave you... You mean that doesn't happen elsewhere?…
  • I have a co worker who disinfects EVERYTHING, she always carries a supply of those cleaning wipes and uses them constantly. This co-worker also gets MORE illnesses than anyone else.... I think we "need" the filth to build up our immune systems. A…
  • I love my 10 yr old mini schnauzer but marry her?? noooo I adopted her and EVERYTHING I have is hers not just half. If I should die before her she is even provided for in my will, but marrying your pet is just not right.
  • How can you believe she is NOT suffering? The more treatment she gets the more she will suffer. The woman has a DISEASE, a mental disease. She did not ask for that. I'm not saying she should be set free, if she ever fully comprehends what she did…
  • Is hot and DRY here not humid, I think that's south Tx, our humidity is 50% or less and since I spent 7 years in Florida this is very DRY. I do love TX though, just wait awhile and the weather will change.
  • Hey I NEED Texas! I must admit the title of this thread concerned me, but now I get the point. What's all this complaining about the heat, it's July we're used to 100+degree days in July, August, and September; but we're expecting a cold front this…
  • I'm sorry, but that's hillarious! It DOES indeed sound like a chevy chase movie. I never went on family vacations as a kid, (I was the youngest of 5!) I understand why. And as a single mom my daughters' and my trips were always smooth sailing.
  • TOOOOOOO FUNNY!!! My boss came in to see what I was laughing so hard about!
  • lol
  • awww how very cute! If I could figure it out I'd post a pic of my brand new grandson, maybe one of these days.

  • My first job after high school was with Travelers Insurance; I wore a very very short lavender jumper (was 1974) to the interview. I got the job and several years later my boss told me the reason he hired me was he'd never seen any one wear a dress…
  • what a talented cat, speaking of warm and fuzzy...
