Congrats and best wishes to you both. Have a wonderful time! Cheryl C.

I hope it's a great experience for you. We took our first cruise last March the the western Caribbean and it was heaven (the cruising part)for me...but my two teenagers were bored to death. None of THEIR friends went...oh well. Cheryl

I was just thinking the same thing. There isn't much chance that I will be able to as our budget here is very tight lately. However, it would be cool to meet some of the other forumites.
-
Thanks...I'll start there then. Cheers!

Hey, does anyone know of a free or low cost way to trace your Irish roots, find your family crest, etc. I think my roots spread to Scotland and Wales too. Just curious if it can be done for little or no money...
-
There's the joy of ole' Killarney, in these wishes meant for you; There's a bit of Irish blarney, and a touch of magic too-- There's a wish of lots of laughter, and good luck, be sure o' that; And a wish that all your dreams may come true in no time…

I wish. Our boss doesn't celebrate any holidays. x:-( But I'm wearing the green!
-
'Tis a fine day too...if you don't mind the 4-6 inches of fresh snow for your commute, that is. I only wish I had some Bailey's...it would warm me up a bit. Have a good (Green) one everybody!
-
Thank ye O'Beagle. I'll have a hefty mug of the green tea and maybe put in a drop or two of a good spirit for good measure. x;-) I'll need it after driving home in this blizzard. (we're supposed to get a foot of snow tonight...UGH)

What do you do if you KNOW you're Irish but don't know what clan your ancestors hail from?...And if you don't like beer of any color? :-S
-
I had heard something about that too on our Christian Radio Station in NH. Seems The Passion of the Christ has made something like $270 million. More than any other Christian movie. The Lord of the Rings is the only one that has come close to thi…

I too did a search over the holidays. I found nothing for the No Greater Love cantata. I didn't even find who to write to for permission to copy the one book that I do have. Any ideas?
-
Yes, that's the one! Our choir director is kinda new at directing and he shyed away from doing it this Easter. I hope he'll build up enough confidence for next year.
-
Ray, that's great! xclap God has given you an incredible talent that some forumites who can't carry a tune in a bucket with a cover envy greatly. Years ago my husband and I sang in a cantata called "No Greater Love" and it was an incredible expe…

Callianne: Top 'o the morning to ye...We all have expressed our opinions of the movie and the majority have expressed sentiments that resemble yours. It IS Jesus we're talking about and His perfect sacrifice for our sins. The movie and book are o…

A friend had shown me the book before the movie came out and I thought that Mel had gone too far with covering Jesus with all that blood. I thought it was excessive; I guess I was so used to seeing a clean Jesus on the cross except for some redness…

My husband and I have seen the Passion twice now. We went with different groups of friends and we found it just like many of you did, profound and convicting. We were rivited to the movie, every sceen, and though we both have been Christians most…

It's obvious that someone didn't want this powerful movie to get made. It must have changed the actors forever as well.
-
If that makes you feel better... )
-
I think it's obvious enough. However, I meant no offense. But, since the thread was beginning to point to Eve I thought I'd add my 2 cents. I guess it was more like 5 cents.
-
Sorry Ray, I think you misunderstood me. It was Eve who was tricked, Adam thought he knew what he was doing and then he tried to get out of it by blaming the woman afterwards! It's all there.
-
Wait a minute...Genesis 3 says that Eve was tricked into eating the fruit by the serpent... Adam (who was with her) willingly took the fruit and ate it.
-
I don't think we're hard to understand...it's hard for people to take the time to try. Time is the best gift we can give others.
-
Don you are absolutely right. The buck should start at the man at the top and then trickle down the ranks. I heard this morning that the FCC hasn't fined anyone in at least the past 20 years for offensive language or leud behavior on tv...or eve…

Do they schedule their time off in advance or is it that they just don't show up?

We are heading this way also. We recently changed an ee from one department to another and had her sign on the corresponding line whether or not she accepted it. We are adding signature lines to all descriptions as they get reviewed and revamped. …
