I used Zyban. Very effective for me. I used it for 1 month. This is my first week off of it and I'm doing very well. I have tried several times before and failed. This time I feel different about quitting. I believe I am ready. One of the tou…

I did not mean to get off of the subject at hand, but I love hearing the stories about people who have quit smoking. It is a motivator for me. The way I think about it is: If he/she can do it so can I. Don, thanks for the encouragement.
-
Condratulations to both of you for quitting smoking. I have just reached one month smoke free. It is not an easy habit to quit. Please tell me it gets easier as time goes by.
-
Well thank you Paul. HR people do have away about them. Don't you agree?
-
I conduct all back-ground checks before I call anyone in for an interview. One applicant's back-ground check came back pretty good. I called him in for an interview. The receptionist led him to the conference room. I came in and here he is on hi…

We pay employees for 8 hours per day when traveling or else if and employee normally workd 10 hours a day we would pay the employee 10 hours a day when he/she travels.

Try www.salaryexpert.com or www. salarysource.com Hope this helps. Cindy

Thank you for your responses. We would like to change how we pay commissions to the sales rep and I was just looking at how other companies paid. Thank you
-
I am getting the same error.
-
Yes. When our company makes it mandatory for a meeting we always pay the employees for their time.
-
Hatchman, no FMLA is not an issue in these instances. Exempt employees are just taking off here and there for what ever reason and the VP feels that they should not get paid for the time off if they do not have any paid time left. I am asking if a…
-
Yes, Pork that's what I am trying to do is be careful. The situation right now is not good with how exempt employees are being paid. Basically how exempt employees have been paid is if an ee takes off a day or a 1/2 day but has no paid time off the …

Helena, How about one more. I appreciate it. 414-462-8812 Thank you

My company pays 90%. Employees pay 10%. Employee cost for: Family is $73.00 per month Single is $30.00 Employee + Children is $71.00 Employee + Spouse is $71.00
-
We pay 90% of our employee's premiums. For a single person it is 272.83 per month we will pay 245.50, a family is 718.40 we will pay 646.50. Hope this helps
-
We have a 90 day waiting period. Personally I think 90 days is to long, so many people can not go with out insurance for that long and COBRA is to expensive. The expense of Health Insurance is getting out of hand for both the employer and the emplo…

NaeNae, Your explanation clears my confusion. Thank you
-
NaeNae55, I thought it was the law to offer the option for continued health insurance coverage after the employment relationship has ended. In Wisconsin it is the law to offer COBRA and a HIPPA Certificate. Must not be in your state.
-
Could you please e-mail one more. channa@schmitzmix.com Thank you
-
I state it with the employment ad and I also tell them in the interview.
-
I agree with Don. I would also explain the hazards of not wearing a hard hat in these areas. If this is your company's policy you should start the discipliary process.
-
I wear many hats also, HR and Safety are 2 of the hats that I wear.
-
Tashaismydog, What we do is pay the employee 80% of his or her wages (cannot perform regular job duties). We only have him or her at work for 6 hours. You pay them for as long as there at work. Check with your state laws or call your wc carrier. H…

Balloonman that was pretty good. Thanks for the laugh.

I would not call OSHA to inspect. OSHA can and will fine you if they find something oyt of compliance. However, I would call the National Safety Council or The Safety Council in your state. They will come out and help you at no charge and they do …

Yes we use a TPA. I also let them know about questionable cases. What stricks me funny about this case is that he admitted it to the VP, myself, and the TPA.
