What Not to Do

I came across this article and wanted to share it with everyone. It's about what managers shouldn't do to foster engagement in their employees.

Do you agree with the comments?
Would give this advice to managers and supervisors in your organization?
Would you change anything?
What, if anything, would you add to or delete from it?

  • You also have to add your company culture into the equation. In some organizations making sure your employees are happy to be there would be a big plus. In others, it is all about confidence and stability (think Google compared to a stock brokerage firm).

If the employee's personality doesn't fit the culture they are likely never going to become an outstanding employee.
