Conviction of a Felony

Has anyone run into this problem: An employee convicted of a felony of taking funds inappropriately from a Federal Government agency (outside of employer/employee relationship). Does that conviction prohibit the employee from receiving funds from other Federal Government agencies (within employer/employee relationship)?

Thanks

  • The employee was convicted of receiving federal government funds in a situation outside of his employment with us. However, as a company,we receive federal government funds based on the employee's work. We have been in contact with the Federal Agency involved, have submitted the appropriate paperwork, and now have to wiat for their legal department to decide the ramifications to us.
