Here is a thread that might get some activity. What are your pet peeves? Do you hate it when someone gets in the 20 or less line and end up having 100 items? Does it bother you when pedestrians walk out in front of you? Like Jay Leno, do you hate to see a dog dressed up?
I have a couple. Top of my list is to hear HR people refer to Worker's Compensation as Workman's Comp. The old term had been stamped out in California before I moved from there to Kansas in 1986. I was astonished to hear a lawyer advertising to help people with Workman's Comp when I got here (and he continued to do so until recently), and still hear the term used today by people on fringes of HR. I am not a rabid women's liberalist, but for some reason this one gets to me.

2. The idiot too busy gabbing on the cell phone to pay attention to the road.
3. The boss that is so busy micro-managing my job that he forgets to do his.
4. The whiners who are overreacting to an employee survey that is totally voluntary.
5. The AFLAC Rep that just left because they had another appointment and couldn't wait for the 2nd shift to come in.
And.....that's just for starters.

Except I sided with the ladies in a third thread, so I guess it's not.
Employees who "refuse to sign" the open enrollment forms because they don't want coverage.
Employees who monopolize Orientation with personal anecdotes that really have nothing to do with the topic of discussion.
Employees who are surprised when I tell them to turn off their cell phone sduring Orientation.
New shoes that cause blisters. (But they are REALLY cute!)
Former employees who continue to yell at my assistant because she did not personally ensure they received their W-2 on 1/31. They know we are required by law to ensure delivery by 1/31 because Google told them so.
People who drive the speed limit on I-10 in west Phoenix. The speed limit is merely a suggestion. Residents should know this by now.

People who say "uh" when they're giving a speech.
People who don't give the little wave sign when you let them pull out in front of you in traffic.
People who pass you on the highway only to slow down . . . really slow down . . . when they get in front of you.
People who drive right next to someone else, the same speed, so that no one can pass them - and they're both driving really slow.
Gheesh, you'd think I had road rage or something.
People who whine that they are sooooooo busy. EVERYONE is overworked (except Ray) so get over it.
Employees who refuse to take responsibility for any of their actions (that they have been talked to about REPEATEDLY) but continue to point out everyone they think has violated a policy.
Sales calls for newsletters and "complete guides".
Reps from Career Builder...same problem as the Aflac people; they don't talk to each other.
Another peeve;
People who do not know to walk on the right side at the mall, on the sidewalk, etc. Instead, they walk on the left and expect others to move.
People who bring their small children to public places/events and seem to think that it's everyone else's responsibility to keep an eye on them. I've seen this countless times at parks, baseball games, church or school events, etc.
