Hugger Interviewee?

Has anyone ever had a person you are interviewing give you a big ol hug at the end?
What is even better .... she is interviewing for an HR Intern position!!!
Do colleges or parents teach any interviewing skills?
I almost want to send out letters to people saying: "here's the deal", "don't hug", "dress nicer", "don't roll out of bed", "don't smell", etc. etc. etc. etc. etc........
Ok ... I am done!

Yes, I had a hugger once. Now I stick my hand out as soon as the interview is over and keep enough distance to discourage hugging.

That is the funny part ... I stuck out the hand for the shake, and she went ahead and gave the hug....

I guess that's "how she rolls!"

What kids aren't learning is appropriateness. It's like everyone is afraid to define boundaries and lay down rules for fear of offending any class, getting criticized or even sued.

I'm a hugger but I've never hugged a prospective employer. x0:)

I've got to know what the interviewing technique is - this is bizarre behavior. No one has EVER tried to hug me after an interview!!!

Well I did have on a T-shirt that said "Hug Me" with a Care Bear on it.... Oh yeah and flip flops! They always add to the flare! x:D

That must have been a really great interview.

I was interviewing a fellow yesterday and I asked him to tell me one area he would like to improve in.

He thought about it for a moment and then replied, "Teamwork. I really don't like people telling me what to do."

Then there was just an awkward silence as I considered his answer.

An attorney I know was training a roomful of supervisors about sexual harassment, and she explained that hugging was inappropriate in the workplace. Afterwards, a man came up and told her that she did a great job and that he learned a lot. Then he gave her a hug. #-o

We had a fellow who worked for us years ago who explained to me that when he was a young boy, a horse stepped on his head. One of the side effects of the brain damage was that he would sometimes unknowingly grab someone's hand and/or hug them. It wasn't something he could control and he did it with both men and women.

I thought he was putting me on but he had the documentation to prove it. He just wanted me to know in case it ever happened which to my knowledge it did not.

He was the biggest penny pincher I ever met. If you had loose change sitting around, he would ask if he could have it.
