Has anyone else seen "From My Hometown"? If you get a chance to see this show at your local theater -- don't miss it!
Here is a synopsis:
Three young hopefuls make their way to Harlem and an audition at the legendary Apollo Theatre. Coming from Philadelphia, Memphis, and Detroit, each brings a distinctive brand of music from his hometown and, through their diversity, develop a strong friendship and eventual collaboration. Stacked with six original songs and over 30 R&B hits including such favorites as Dock of the Bay, Give Me Just a Little More Time, Oh, Girl, Have You Seen Her?, Try a Little Tenderness, Tobacco Road, Working in a Coal Mine, and Chain Gang.

Although my favorite of all these is Tobacco Road.
