East met West

My family (-1) just returned from a week's vacation in sunny southern California. We began our journey in San Diego. After visiting THE Zoo (hence the bad hair), we met Gillian3 and his lovely wife Jan at The Old Mexican Cafe for lunch.

We had a great authentic Mexican meal and then munched on jelly beans and avocado fudge while we took a walking tour of Old Town San Diego. We toured a museum housed in one of the original town homes dated back about 170 years. My photos of it didn't come out but you can go to http://www.oldtownsandiego.org/ to get an idea of what I'm talking about.

The visit was too short but Gillian3 and Jan have an open invitation to visit beautiful New Hampshire as soon as their schedule allows. My family spent the rest of our time seeing sights around LA. But I liked the San Diego area much better.
