Couldn't decide what to name this post. I considered instead "Stupid things people say during exit interviews"

It definately needs to be nominated for one of those calendars of "stupidist things ever said"

Anyway, at a recent exit interview I overheard a police officer complaining that he was leaving our employment because the Chief of Police was a mean ogre and he lies. But the really dumb thing this officer said was the example he gave to prove how bad the Chief is; "The Chief said that a lot of our officers currently live about an hour away. Officer Anderson lives the farthest away and HE ONLY LIVES 48 MINUTES AWAY WHICH TAKES HIM 30 MINUTES TO GET TO WORK"

It was so hard not to LOL while at my desk! Maintain my professionalism!

Here’s another good one. Several weeks ago I had to term an ee who tested positive for cocaine. During the exit meeting he stated that when we tested him it wasn’t his urine sample he gave. He said it was one of his friends that he had carried with him for several years. #-o Like National Guard it was all I could do to keep from falling out of my chair after hearing such a stupid statement. His next statement was that he couldn’t wait to see what his lawyer thought about his termination. I suspect his lawyer did fall out of his chair when he heard the lame excuse. 8-}
