What to do in CA?

I'll be in the San Francisco area from the 12th to the 15th of April. My 1st time in CA. Not much time to sight see though but if I had a couple hours in the evening, what's there to do?

I'll be at our corporate office during business hours which is in Hayward (any interesting lunch places?); the hotel is in Foster City. Of course the 3-hr change in time will probably make me want to call it a day by 8 pm, so I'll need some diversion. Any ideas?

There are no restaurants in Hayward and Foster City is known for one hotel and it shuts down at 6:30 PM just ahead of the curfew. Have fun!

Oh that's scary...guess I'll bring a couple good books and leave my dancin' shoes home.

Unless Sam and NG could join me. We'd take over their Town Hall but this time we'd be wearing cuter shoes in the photo. ;;)

Set goals. One would be getting a photo with the desk name plate of the mayor of Hayward, assuming they have one. I think Gillian3 should volunteer to give you the three dollar tour of the whole area.

There's so much you can do it will make your head spin. Go online and check out San Francisco and you will find much to do. Fisherman's Wharf is but one! Enjoy. I LOVe CA

If you can break away for a little touristy stuff, Fisherman's Wharf is a must (especially Ghirardelli Square - chocolate-loving women usually like that). Alcatraz is a sobering tour.

Despite what Don says, Foster City does have restaurants, canals, etc. - my brother and his family live there. But there's not much of note, it's basically a 'burb with little character. If you can make it into the City, do so.

I just got back from CA. It was a good trip and I was able to see the Bridge, Alcatraz and Pier 39. I tried Halibut for the 1st time and I also met many cool people. Now I have to make up some sleep.
