NASCAR Ballet

There is a ballet company, in Kentucky I believe, that is producing a ballet called "NASCAR Ballet" hoping to attract the stock racing crowd. The dancers are dressed in brightly colored bodysuits with corporate sponsor logos attached. They run around the stage emulating stock cars driving around the oval track. Will the typical NASCAR fan find this to be enjoyable entertainment? Will the typical ballet fan gain a better appreciation of stock car racing? Will stock car drivers perceive the cultural elite is just poking fun at them? Is there any cultural significance to this? Does anyone care?

Ray, my goodness, you must not have a whole lot to do this Good Friday. I, on the other hand, have been too damn busy to get out of here at noon like the rest of my staff (it's now 2:40). In any event, no I don't think I'd see the ballet. Howevery there's a great little picture going on at the IMAX that was very cool - NASCAR in case anyone is in doubt!

This is very scary, but I've had a good laugh picturing it. I want to know who's going to be Little E, and how it'll look when a "driver" gets tapped or hits the wall.
