Consider this a public service announcement . . .

Don't forget to turn your clocks ahead this weekend! Those of us that are unfortunate enough to reside in areas that participate in Daylight Savings Time lose an hour this coming weekend.

I'm thinking of boycotting it and not adjusting my clocks. Who's with me?

I don't think your plan will work. Here's an idea. Take the hour from some time besides 2:00 a.m. I'm taking my hour out at 5:00 - 6:00 p.m. - sorry, no dinner.

Just gotta' be creative.

oh mannn is it that time again already? I have refused to adjust the clock in my car for daylight savings for years, really confuses passengers in there 6 months of the year. At least springing forward I don't have to drive home in the dark anymore and I can work in and enjoy my garden in the evenings! yeahhhhh

I, for one, detest daylight savings time and wish it would go away. I LIKE going to work in the dark. I LIKE coming home in the dark. I also like damp, foggy nights. All this extra daylight depresses me!

Umm, is that sarcasm? I can't tell.

It's not dark here in the mornings OR the evenings. It's bright out by 6 a.m. and still light at 6:30 p.m., and the days are only getting longer. Who needs this Daylight Savings Time? What are we really saving?

Who is this mcmel guy? Sounds like he works for the government! Yes, it's true that Beagle used to lurk around London in a fog. Now he just creeps around the Forum in a trenchcoat.

We don't "suffer" daylight savings time here in in AZ. Of course I never know what time it is in the rest of the country...

I know what you mean HRQ. I can always keep the east straight, but I can never remember when we're on Pacific and when we're on Mountain. I THINK after all is said and done, we're with the left coast in the summer and the Rockies in the winter - such as it was this year!

I'm still waiting for the weather to go back to spring. I'm not ready for summer yet! xB-)

We are with the left coast in the summer. They "spring forward" to catch up with us, then they "fall back" behind us again (on the clock, anyway).

I only remember this because I spent my first 19 years of life in the midwest, springing and falling every year...

Rad, I'm glad someone else doesn't mind the time change. Change is good. It broadens your horizons, gives you new challenges. You people who don't like change are stuck in a rut. And, I prefer the light as opposed to Beagle who prefers the dark. Another proof that I am the good twin and he is the evil twin.

I like the change also. I like it when it's still light outside when I get home. I get more stuff done around the house.

Being in retail we are open on Sunday when the time changes. I always do paycheck attachments and flyers about the time change, but there's always someone that "forgets".

This weekend I'll be leaving for Vegas. Does that mean I lose an hour of gambling? :-?

What I hate about the time change is all the changes I must make--the clock on the stove, the clock on the coffee pot, the clock on the alarm/radio, the clock on the microwave, the wristwatch, the clock on the phone answering machine, and finally, but most important, my internal clock. (I didn't mention the clock in the car because I don't own one).

That's one thing I like about my electronic gadgets (VCR, TV, DVD, etc.). They're all self-correcting and will adjust the time automatically. I only have to worry about my watch and microwave. x:-)

You're right, that is a pain. I have to adjust two watches, the coffee pot, alarm clock and clock on the stereo. My computer and cell phone correct themselves. But atleast I'm at the point where I can actually adjust them without having to consult the user's manual every time!

For some reason this year I have a calendar with British holidays on it. Their daylight savings time started early this week. Get this -- they call it "Summer Time". That just strikes me as really funny........x:7

Personally, I don't mind the time change. However, I wish we could get the whole country either to do it or not! My boss is in Indiana, where they don't do the daylight savings time thing, and I have a conference call with her at 3:00 pm CST next Thursday. I practically have to turn my brain inside out to make sure that I'm not either an hour early or an hour late!

I heard something over the weekend that made me laugh! How about changing the clocks over at 4:00 pm on Friday! Start the weekend early--much better idea than ranting about losing an hour of sleep!

I agree. I got up this morning and it was 31 degrees and very windy. Now it's 47 and very windy. It is supposed to be a little warmer as the week goes on with little wind. Where is the 60 degree weather? x:-/
