This is an experiment. It might not work. I am going to start a "story" with one line. Anyone who wants to participate may contribute 1-3 sentences at a time but no more.

Here are the ground rules:
1. Contributions must make sense to the general story line.
2. Don't comment on the story. This thread is just for the story. I will set up a second thread for comments. Emoticons x:o are ok if you feel the need to express some reaction to the story line.
3. Let the story develop. Don't force things to happen.
4. Have fun!

Just Another Day in HR

It was a rainy Monday morning and I was 10 minutes late getting to the office due to traffic and a long line at the Starbucks drive-thru. I was about to check my office voice mail, when I heard a knock on my door.

I saw the horror reflected in the CEO's face. He had obviously been smitten and had been thinking with the small head. In the meantime, the Union Steward, who had been silent till now, piped up with this statement:

"Any engagement between a CEO and an employee must have full Union approval. And frankly, we don't approve!" With that, the union steward folded his stubby arms and emitted an indignant snort.

It's our CEO, Mr. Ho. Suddenly everything starting to make sense to me. Mr. Ho was the one who originally asked for the non-frat. policy about a year ago & now wants to circumvent that policy with the addition of Ima Hogg, a.k.a. "Bubbles". With "Bubbles" on board, they stand to make most of the million dollars in salary alone! As the plot started to unfold, and the answers were becoming clearer, I started to fidget in my seat.
