Okay, it's Friday, and I would rather be anywhere than here. I am sitting here looking at my screen saver of the beach in the Bahamas and wishing I was there, sitting with a drink and being pampered.

Where would you like to be and what would you be doing?

I would like to be out in the middle of a lake on the pontoon boat laying in the sun, drinking a daquiri and reading a book. Ah, the joy of solitude after answering stupid questions all week long. x:-)

What a great question for today . . .

Right now it's 70 degrees outside and beautiful. I went to a TOBY KEITH concert last night and got home at 1 a.m., so right now I would like to be sitting in my yard, in the swing, staring off into space.

I don't ask for much, I don't need special get-aways, I just want to be at home, (nobody else is home right now), enjoying the peace and quiet. I would hear the birds, the winds in the trees . . . . aaaaaaaaaah.

On the road visiting my family who is spread throughout the country. Let's see, my son in Columbus, Ohio ... my daughter and baby granddaughter and their new house in Phoenix, Arizona ... my brother's brand new grandson in Tampa, Florida.

Or else, working in my gardens at home tending my many rose bushes, putting in new plants, trimming, weeding.

Nuts, I let my assistant take a half day, so I'm stuck here all day.

where do you live? Arizona? Las Vegas? I live in Southern Utah and it has been 106 for the last couple of days. It ususally gets up to 110 in July and August. The rest of the year the weather is great so I can't complain. But if I could be anywhere right now it would be along the coast...where there is fog.

Sitting on my pier with a book and a glass of wine. Waving at the Dads trolling by who are teaching their kids how to fish. Scowling at the Jet Skiers who ignore the middle of the lake and buzz the shoreline instead.

Where I could realistically be right now? On my back porch reading a good mystery novel. It's 80 degrees, light wind and sunny!

Where would I want my fairy godmother to send me? The BEACH! Any beach with white sand and blue waters. And of course an all expenses paid motel room.

Our federal examiners just left. It's nice having the peace and quiet for an afternoon.

Right now I would like to be at home sitting next to my pool with a margarita in one hand and a good book in the other. I am so ready for the weekend, oh wait, this is our ee picnic weekend. My selfish side tells me I would rather be moving down the interstate at 85 with cold beer and a balogna sandwich tucked inside the saddlebags, a map of roads I've never even been on, eleven dollars for an emergency and a day off the next day in case I don't want to return tonight.

My reality side says there's nothing I'd rather be doing than sitting at home hoping one or both of my kids (college age) will phone and say they are on the way, or hell, just show up so I can indulge them with my cooking, or a fishing trip to the pond, or cash or whatever else they ask me for that makes me weak in the knees. Just to hear their voices and see their faces.

I'd be lying on the beach in Henlopen, Delaware soaking up the sun and reading a good mystery. The beaches here in Jacksonville, FL just aren't the same--too built up and the sand is hard. Guess I'll just have to settle for looking at the picture of "my" beach that I keep on my desk.

My favorite place in the whole world - Key West, FL. That is where my hubby and I went away together for the first time. On sunset pier partying with everyone else waiting for the sun to set. Or kicked back on the beach near 7-mile bridge.

Today is the day before the holiday, but it doesn't really matter if its Friday, Monday, Tuesday, Saturday.....I had rather be on the beach, cooler at my side listening to Jimmy Buffet tunes. Use to be able to do that when I lived at the beach, and I miss it sooooooooooo much!!!x:-(

I would rather be and will be in San Antonio this weekend with my family. Unfortunately I don't leave until tomorrow and still have a whole day today. But at this very moment I would rather be in the field rather than in the office picking up slack for a recruiter that left, a peer on vacation and a MIA Manager. Lots of fun.

Long day today. We're having a special event tonight - Dwight Yokum concert with fireworks. And when that happens, exempt personnel get the "opportunity" to be a team player. So, I'm pulling a double shift: Employee Relations Manager by day - bartender by night!

It's 90 degrees here in NY today. On vacation, worked in my garden in the front yard - actually the entire front yard is one big garden - no grass. Cleaned up the car. Playing a few tunes on the bass trombone. Only one call from work. Life is wonderful.
