There's some truth in that!

Those of you not from the midwest might not be familiar with the Burlington Liars Club's annual contest to pick the best lie of the year. Individuals from all over the country submit 'lies' that they've made up to come up with the best. As I understand it, this wasn't selected as the best this year, and with apologies to both sexes, you can insert whichever sex you want to into this lie, but my opinion of the best lie submitted this year is: "When I speak, my wife actually listens to what I say."
Maybe that would apply to some HR situations as well.

As in: "When I speak, my managers actually listen to what I say"?? You're right - that could be the biggest lie in all of HR-dom.
