FMLA and Workers Compensation concurrent in PA?

Our Workers Compensation provider told us that FMLA does not apply to Workers Compensation cases In Pennsylvania. Does anyone know anything about this? Thanks in advance!

It's a matter of your being able to run the two concurrently to keep the employee from 'stacking leaves'. Be vigilant and always view with suspicion ANYTHING these often transient comp form-processors tell you. Good for you for catching it.

(edit) Unless there is some obscure law in PA that says an employer cannot run such programs concurrently. I defer to PA folks.
  • We are in PA and I have never heard of such a law. The seminars I have been to always encouraged running WC and FMLA concurrently to prevent leave stacking, as Don explained.
