Computer Positions

Those of you who have computer positions - how do you go about determining if they are exempt or non exempt? Our IT people generally work very independently with little supervision.
This particular position is responsible for analyzing, designing, testing, implementing and supporting clinical applications (medical practice).
She is currently hourly, but has been given much more responsibility and autonomy in this position.
