Hello everyone,
I'm one of the new kids on the block with a small maufacturing company in the NW. A problem recently came to light and I need some help with it. An employee injured himself back in November of 2004 and had no days off at that time. He had surgery last week and was off work for three days. Do I record the "Lost Time Injury" as happening in 2004 or 2005?

That is why if not done electronically, always fill out the osha log in pencil.

Also, I don't understand what Safety means that you don't count the first day?
I was told you don't count the day of the accident, but sounds as if this wouldn't apply here since the day of the accident/injury wasn't the first day anyway. We count each full day out (including weekends or unscheduled work days) and do the same for days with restrictions, but don't include the date of the occurrence.
