One of our employees, who is in the Army Reserve, just got called up to go to Turkey. She is only 21 years old, and the news has unnerved all of us. Firstly, we are concerned about her safety and well being, secondly, I want to ask about the responsibilites we have as her employer. Aside from holding her job and continuing her benefits, it there anything else we are obligated to do?

The military will pick up her health insurance after 30 days so you can drop her but reinstate her next year without any waiting period. The web site the previous poster mention is excellent. Your life insurance would also not cover war time death, either.
