Possible EXPOSURE TO HIV

An employee was engaged (on-duty) in a struggle. The other party (not an employee) spit in his face, twice. Does this constitute a possible exposure to HIV? DOn't know whether the person who spit is HIV positive.

Thanks.

  • This is a medical question. Not a HR question. Contact your Medical Rewiew Officer from the testing facility that conducts your post offer physicals and drug and alcohol testing. This should be the same person identified in your Blood Borne Pathogen Exposure Plan.
