International Travel Policy and practices
Hi,
Does anyone out there have a travel policy and/or guidelines on international travel, i.e., emergency medical or security evacuations that you would be willing to share? Our organization is growing in that area and I could use some help. Do any of you have a designated travel coordinator? Is this function under HR? Operations? I've had recent medical evacuations from overseas and the coordination of services is a real nightmare sometimes. We contract for medical and security access under SOS International services (they coordinate the evacuation with the medical provider) and we also have a secure travel rider for employees (not dependents) traveling under business or pleasure and need evacuation or other travel related services, but this is not a medical insurer, only evacuation. Also these evacuations, if medical, are coordinated with the employees medical carrier.
Thanks for any help on policy and practices that work for you,
Bucky
