First Aid for "mobile work teams"

My boss has asked me to look into the first aid training requirements for employees who go out into the community, as he vaguely remembers some requirement for "mobile work teams". I have searched high and low and can't find a thing.  The rule he is thinking of may have been revised or it could have been specific to another industry (he used to be in the construction industry).   We are a mental health provider that sends employees out in the community to hospitals, nursing homes, jail, patient homes, and other public places.  We are in Washington state and the regs simply state that we need to comply with the CFR.  OSHA doesn't seem to address this.

 Anyone have any experience or information?
