The spouse of an employee has been deployed to Afganistan. Our employee has requested a decrease in hours - 1 shift per week. However, she would like her shift to be reinstated at the conclusion of her spouses deployment. Are there any employment laws that consider employees when their spouse is deployed to active duty.

See if this may be covered by military regs and FMLA.
However I'm not certain that as you have printed the request that you have any obligation to do that, unless you wanted to grant her request.
