Maternity Leave & Health Benefits

I have an employee who will be out on maternity leave and is covered under our company's health plan.  My question is, do we still have to pay the same portion of her health benefits while she is out on leave?  We are under 50 employees, but are above 15 and are located in SC?  I am new to HR and appreciate any help.

    Pregnancy Discrimination Act says you have to treat pregnancy complications and giving birth the same as any any other health issue.  If the person were out for cancer treatment, what would you do?
