video resume

We just received our first video resume. We are afraid to open it up because of potential discrimination charges.  However, the HR Director did read the accompanying letter.  Any suggestions on how to handle this?

  • Send a return email stating that you do not accept video resumes and that the applicant must follow the procedures on your company website, if they are indeed online. If not, send the  list of procedures in this email. Add to your company policy a statement that you do not accept video resumes.
