According to the FLSA, there are various exemptions to non-exempt employees getting overtime. Such examples include:<?xml:namespace prefix = o ns = "urn:schemas-microsoft-com:office:office" />
Outside buyers of poultry and dairy products
Agricultural employees
Live-in domestic workers
and.....
Movie theater employees
I had to do a double take here. The teens who give me my popcorn and M&Ms at the movie theater aren't subject to overtime? I've been doing some research on this and I cannot find a specific reason why they are not allowed overtime, by law. I know companies will probably pay them overtime anyway, but I was stunned to see that they are not lawfully obligated to do so. Anyone know why? Thoughts? Comments?

I suspect at some point the movie lobby got to know the right people in Congress. [8-|] [~] {No really I just wanted to use the movie reel smiley}
There is a long strange list of them:
