Any Comments? Proposed FMLA Regulations

I am looking at the proposed FMLA regulations and am really surprised by how much the FMLA (and our job of working with FMLA) may change when the regulations are finalized. I know that the U.S. Department of Labor is asking employers and employees to submit comments on the proposed regulations, but I am wondering who really does this? and how much of a difference does it make if one employer protests or supports a proposed regulation?
Anyone else thinking of commenting to DOL on the proposed FMLA regulations?

I think larger companies that have a lot of exposure comment as do law firms and HR consulting firms based upon what their clients are expressing to them. And I do think it can make a difference. I think that is why certain regulations are changing.
But I do not expect to comment.
