case studies/white papers for international staff development
Hello,
I've haven't had much luck researching the above, especially for non-educators. The focus of our work is refugee relief and socioeconomic development, usually in 3rd world countries...obviously culture/religion is taken into consideration. I'm basically looking for models that can be built upon, and any research that has been done of such work as to not "re-invent the wheel."
Thanks.

I believe that many of the same principles apply for staff development, but on a global spectrum. For example, global sourcing, selection based on future needs, good orientation and mentoring programs based locally and globally, lots of training based on skills and cultural and business culture orientation, multicultural team building, and centralized and consistent performance management. If you are a member, SHRM has a global HR group that you might be able to use too.
