FMLA -- Married / Not Married?

Good morning!
I have a person who called me a couple of weeks ago asking if she were not married, could she use FML for her significant other. I told her that she could not and, under our policy, sick days would not apply. She just informed me that she got married over the weekend and now wants FML. She has turned in no other paperwork (taxes, benefits, etc.). Can I ask for a copy of a marriage certificate?

Same here, which is why we would want some kind of proof that the marriage occurred. Lying in order to get FML or be able to use sick time in a situation that wouldn't ordinarily qualify would be considered a terminable offense here.
