Is an off-the-clock injury covered by WC?

An employee is injured (i.e.- slip and fall) after his/her scheduled shift and after clocking out, but while still on the premises. Is that claim covered by WC or General Liability insurance?

I would turn it in to your WC carrier and let them make the call. I have heard it argued both ways.
It would depend on the circumstances on liability. .did they trip over their own feet or trip over broken concrete you should have had repaired? Just my opinion on both.

I would also say it depends on the severity of the injury - if it didn't require anything beyond basic first aid, I'd say it's probably not WC.
