ONE OF THE COMMENTS REGARDING THE RECIPE:
The recipe for Whale Stew submitted yesterday brought back fond memories of this hearty stew I made years ago. I haven't made it since because of the callouses I got on my fingers from dicing the elephant.
Ingredients:
• 1 medium sized elephant
• onions, peas, and carrots to taste
• 2 rabbits
Directions:
Take 1 medium sized elephant, well skinned, and cut into bite-sized pieces. Roll in flour and brown in skillet. Two rabbits may be added but they are optional. Add onions, peas, and carrots.
Cook in 450 degree oven for 2 weeks.
If you expect more people, add the 2 rabbits, but most folks don't care for hares in their stew.

I love cats - but I can't eat a whole one.
Dig a pit in the sand and fill with hot coals. Place carp between two hickory planks and bind w/ baling wire. Wrap in foil, place on hot coals and bury for three hours.
Dig it up, unwrap, throw away the carp and eat the planks. Mmmmm-Mmmmm!
