The SHRM Pinnacle award is given out every year to 7 chapters and 2 state councils. This year, there were 50 chapter and 14 state council applications.

I was one of 11 committee members who worked on a state council project which was submitted to SHRM. We won! Woo-hoo!

BTW, Jim, who used to post here frequently but rarely has time anymore was also on the committee. Congrats to the KS State Council of SHRM and all who participated!

Yes, they gave out the award last week at Leadership. Our committee chair was there and accepted the award. Unfortunately, I never manage to volunteer in any of the positions that get to go to a national conference. C'est la vie.

Doing better than ever, but I guess the word doesn't get around quickly to "Outinthesticks, MO", especially since the Pony Express still delivers your mail.:angel:

I hit their website a few times a week, and I do read the magazine. I went to one local chapter meeting a few years ago, though, and that's a few hours of my life I'd like to have back. Maybe if Nae moves to St. Louis I will attend again.
