We have an employee who has family out of the country, for which they need to cross the 'pond' and care for their parent for a month. Because the family member resides in a different country, my question is can we obligate the employee to the same criteria of having medical personnel from a 'foreign country', in this case Africa, complete US Forms? Thanks!

    You must accept certification from foreign providers the same as you would here. If you have any doubts, you can have a physician here contact the provider there, or you can pick a physician in the location and have the family member visit them for a second opinion.
