Situation

Happy Monday everyone! Just curious as how my esteemed colleagues would handle this situation.

Have employee (not in a protected class) in introductory period with poor performance. Employee has been retrained twice. Decision was made to discharge the employee. Supervisor was told to take care of it. Supervisor goes to another employee, who happens to be related to the new employee and tells the relative that the new employee just isn't working out and he is going to have to let him go. Related employee calls new employee and tells him. New employee shows up in the supervisor's office and supervisor tells him he doesn't know for sure, but to come back tomorrow.

I think there needs to be two discharges. What say you, O Wise Ones?
